I am a North Carolina native and a proud graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill. My various titles over fourteen years of working in middle schools include Science teacher, Social Studies teacher, Instructional Tutor, Student Advocate, and at present, Math teacher. I have also worked as a Prepared Childbirth Educator, Victim Advocate, and Domestic Violence Shelter Supervisor.
My most important titles are wife and mother. I have a teenage son and young twin boys. I want to live the life I am supposed to live before them. Since I feel things deeply and have strong opinions, writing is my way to process and communicate those feelings and opinions along my journey to live life abundantly.
