January 3, Challenge 3 #JanuaryJourney #ready

If I thought yesterday was a challenge, then today was three times as hard!  Instead of one sick baby, I now have two sick babies and a sick husband.  So again, my best plan of having an early post this morning did not happen, but today’s difficulties remind me to be thankful for healthy days… the perfect lead-in to today’s challenge:

January 3, Challenge 3:  Put a Hedge around your Health!  So often, we don’t think about how healthy we are on most days until we are suddenly sick or injured.  When I or a family member at home is miserable, I am always reminded that I need to be thankful for the majority of the days of the year in which we are not sick or injured.

While some things are unavoidable, I am also reminded that I can take steps now to ensure that I am healthier for the rest of this year… eating clean, reducing caloric intake, going to bed instead of watching one more episode, getting outdoors more, saying no to some things others ask me to do…these are the things I know I can do to improve my overall health, making me a healthier person with a higher quality of living.

Your list of things that you know you need to do, or not do, may look different from mine, but I encourage you to put boundaries in place so that you can feel great for 2018!

What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?  For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.    I Corinthians 6:19-20
